[PENNSYLVANIA ? QUAKERS]. PENN, William (1644?1718). Select Works of? London: n.p., 1771. Folio. Modern cloth (previous spine label ghosting near foot, front hinge cracked at title?page, small repair to title near foot of gutter; also with few closed tears or creases, some toning or spotting to interior). Provenance: Friends Library of Philadelphia (rubber stamp on title page verso); Zion Research Library (bookplate). Penn was the founder of an English North American colony, an early member of the Quakers, and director of the planning and development of Philadelphia.
