- Lot Description
Penny Caille Bros. "Samson Lifter" Arcade Strength Tester Machine. Detroit: Caille Bros., Co., ca. 1905. Cast iron, glass-fronted face with dial and indicator needle on a wooden cabinet, with cast iron lifter and stand. With cast iron coin slot and original marquee. When a penny is inserted, needle re-sets to zero, and machine measures how much weight is lifted when handles are pulled. Machine has had some restoration and repairs (dial face appears to be a reproduction, locked (with keys) wooden cabinet appears later, stand has later paint. Approximately 61 x 27 x 15". Working, although machine may require recalibration. Third party shipping or customer pick-up required.
Condition
Some minor rubbing, marquee has numerous scuffs with some loss of text, glass front has minor chipping at bottom edge. Still, fine.
