NELSON, Lusha (1900 - 38). Portrait of Cardini by Lusha Nelson. 1930s. Sepia-toned photographer’s proof, being a half-length portrait of Cardini in tie, tails, top hat and cape, smoking a cigarette. 10 x 8", archivally framed to 15 x 13". A protege of Steichen, Nelson was a staff photographer for Vogue, Vanity Fair, and other Condé Nast publications.
