[ROBERT-HOUDIN] MANNING, William. Recollections of Robert-Houdin. London: Chiswick Press, 1891. Privately printed, from an edition of 205 copies, issued to the Members of the Sette of Odd Volumes. Printed parchment-covered boards (browned). Illustrated with full-page plates of Robert-Houdin, mystery clocks, automata, etc. 18mo. Sold together with three engravings of Robert-Houdin presenting some of his famous feats of conjuring, each extracted from an 1850s Robert-Houdin souvenir booklet, and mounted to stiff cardstock.
