[ROBERT-HOUDIN] DISDERI, André (1819 - 89). Robert-Houdin Portrait Photograph. Paris, ca. 1860. Full-lengh image of the "father of modern magic" captured by the photographer who patented the Carte de Visite, and operated a studio in the same building where Robert-Houdin presented his Soirees Fantastiques. The magician stands between a table and chair with hands in his pockets. CDV format, 5 1/8 x 3 1/2". Tape stain, penciled notation, and photographer's stamp to verso. Very good to near fine.
