Roovers Name Plate 5 Cent Arcade Machine. New York: Roovers Mfg. Co., ca. 1920s. Penny arcade machine created stamped name plates on strips of metal by dropping a nickel in the machine, then choosing the letters for the plate with a dial mechanism. Oak case, original marquee and paper, sitting on matching stand with cast metal legs. 13 x 16 x 54" (assembled on stand). With a steel coil inside. Lock and key; working. Third party transportation required.
