The Postal History of the Antarctic 1904-49. Cambridge: Scott Polar Research Institute, 1950. 4to. Original publisher?s wrapper. The history of this stamp is detailed on p. 50.Captain Robert Falcon Scott?s Terra Nova Expedition left Port Chalmers, New Zealand on November 29, 1910, with the objective of being the first expedition to reach the South Pole.
