STAEHLE, Albert (1899 - 1974). Smokey Says / Care will prevent 9 out of 10 forest fires! 1944. U.S. Government Printing Office. Color offset poster published by the USDA Forest Service and State of California Department of Forestry. The artist, Staehle, was the creator of Smokey Bear, and this is one of a series of posters from 1944 in which the character debuted.
Paper. 20 x 14 1/4".
