THACKERAY, William Makepeace (1811-1863). The Newcomes. Memoirs of a Most Respectable Family. London: Bradbury and Evans, 1854-55. FIRST EDITION in book form, INSCRIBED BY THACKERAY to ?P. Fraser? in the year of publication, 11 October 1855, on the second front fly leaf. Inscribed first editions of Thackeray?s major works are incredibly rare and have stopped appearing at auction as of late. Van Duzer 147.
