Red cloth stamped in orange and gold, top edges stained red, ochre endpapers, unclipped dust jacket designed by Milton Glaser featuring, on the back, a photograph by Phyllis Cerf. 8vo. 305 pp. [Together with:] The Hamlet (another copy of the trade issue in dark red cloth stamped in gold and pale blue; advertisements on back of jacket would imply 1948); Mayday (1976, first trade edition); Faulkner: A Biography by Joseph Blotner (1984, signed by the author); Go Down, Moses (1942, The Modern Library). Light chipping and creasing to extremities. Tight, clean copies. Peterson A2e; A37d. Faulkner?s last novel, published shortly before his death on July 6, 1962.
