[VOYAGES AND TRAVELS]. COLBORNE, Capt. John (1778-1863) and BRINE, Capt. Frederic. Memorials of the Brave; or Resting Places of Our Fallen Heroes in The Crimea and at Scutari. London: Ackermann and Co., 1858. 4to. Illustrated with 14 tinted lithographed plates. 68 pp. With Errata slip. Publisher's full black cloth, front board elaborately stamped in gilt, rear board elaborately stamped in blind, all edges gilt.
Condition
Skilfully rebacked, preserving most of the original spine and with later endleaves, spine edgeworn and slightly sunned, some edgewear and bumping to boards, hinges starting, text somewhat toned and occasionally creased, some foxing to plates. Very good. SECOND EDITION OF THIS HANDSOME TRIBUTE TO THE BRITISH DEAD IN THE CRIMEA. Scarce, even as a second edition.
