Illustrated with 8 plates and plans, some folding. 296 pp. Bound to style in modern quarter calf over marbled boards, spine numbered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, burgundy gilt morocco lettering label, modern marbled endleaves.
Condition
Spine a bit sunned, text toned, soiled, occasionally foxed, a few pages with edgewear. Fine. With the bookplate of author and historian Isaac John Greenwood (1833-1911) by Tiffany and Company. FIRST EDITION OF THIS RARE ACCOUNT OF THE SIEGE OF SERINGAPATAM.
