[WESTERN AMERICANA]. KUYKENDALL, Ivan Lee (1910-1961). Ghost Riders of the Mogollon. San Antonio, TX: The Naylor Company, [1954]. 8vo. 158, [2, blank] pp. Publisher's full blue cloth, front board and spine stamped in black, publisher's price-clipped dust jacket (some rubbing, sunning to cloth spine and board edges, minor offsetting to endleaves; jacket edgeworn with some chipping, some toning to jacket, rear jacket panel soiled). Near fine. FIRST EDITION OF THIS SCARCE, SUPPRESSED TITLE. ?The book was suppressed due to a threatened lawsuit; only the review copies had been released, probably amounting to no more than several dozen? The work deals with the Graham-Tewksberry feud, also known as the Pleasant Valley War. Apparently one of the families involved took offense at statements made in the book, causing it to be withdrawn before it was generally released." Six Score 66.
