Madison: Beriah Brown, 1855/56. 2 volumes bound in one. 8vo. 160; 548 pp. Early half black leather over cloth boards, spine in gilt (spine worn with separation to joints, hinges starting, pale dampstaining to upper textual area in first few quires, contemporary ownership signatures to front endpapers). [Together with:] Report and Collections of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin for the Years 1873, 1874, 1875, and 1876 (Madison: E.B. Bolens, 1876; Vol. VII; early cloth titled in gilt; illustrated). Elusive titles of important early accounts of the territory and state.
