• Lot Description
  Mason creates sculptural sets using reconstructed photographic prints and found materials. This silk printed photograph plays with perception through the layering of textures both in the material the photograph is made of and the material in the image. “Throughout my practice, I create momentary sculptural sets for the camera using reconstructed photographic prints and found materials. My work physically re imagines the perceived world from something seen to something felt, exploring how the multifaceted nature of experience might emotionally manifest. The process is physical both in and out of the studio, a performance of sorts. Collecting images and objects, I then reassemble them into new compositions in the studio.” – Emily Margarit Mason _______
