Possibly Santero of the Mountain Village Crucifixes (Active 1820-1830)
. Small scale body with head leaning strongly to the figure’s right, closed elliptical eyes, thin upper arms with strong forearms and curls hand, delineated ribs on chest with gesso fashioned wound, black linear pattern on loin cloth tied with small crudely formed knot. Many blood trails are finely painted. Figure is mounted on plain lap joint cross with dark pigment using wooden pegs.
