Wedgwood Black Basalt Flowerpot and Lid, England, 19th century, rectangular sarcophagus shape with maiden heads at corners and floral festoons, all set atop the backs of four dolphins on a shaped base, impressed mark, lg. 7 1/4 in.

Condition: Top heavily restored; six of the scallops to rim restored.
