Blackfoot, fourth quarter 19th century, the fully beaded vest, the front decorated with alternating horizontal patterns in blue and rose, the back with symmetrical geometric motifs in blue, yellow, green, and red on a white ground, bordered in multicolored striping. The name "ABIEL WALLIS" inscribed inside. Edged in dark trade cloth with leather ties at the front closure. Lg. 18, wd. 15 ¾ in. Provenance: Gordon Noakes collection, Ohio.
