Vintage Mexican ex-voto depicting man giving thanks to Saint Francis of Assisi for healing his two daughters from whooping cough, oil on tin, dated October 4th, 1936
height 10 in. x width 14 in.
Provenance: The Estate collection of late teacher and humanitarian Douglas Rhodenbaugh, from his historic downtown Austin, Texas home. Mr. Rhodenbaugh spent decades traveling throughout Latin America assuming his vast collection of folk and fine arts, often buying pieces directly from the artisans he met on his travels.
