The Covid-Free Kids 2 Day Charity Auction

Veno Art welcomes you to attend the Covid-Free Kids live charity auction taking place September 19 and 20 at locations in Los Angeles, New York, Maryland and the Washington DC area, as well as online.

This extraordinary event will offer a unique opportunity to bid on everything from handcrafted antique rugs to cutting-edge contemporary art, all while supporting talented artists from around the world and charities seeking to the aid of the world’s children. On-site attendees will also have the opportunity to meet artists, behold spectacular exhibitions and attend educational and cultural presentations.

Tapestry (Meleager)

Taking center stage at the two-day auction is Hunt of Meleager, a tapestry commissioned by the Queen Marie de’ Medici of France in the 17th century shortly before her exile after a failed plot against Cardinal Richelieu. The tapestry, estimated to value $1 million, vividly depicts the Greek mythological hero Meleager and the huntress Atalanta in their confrontation with the beastly Calydonian boar.

Participating Charities

Veno Art and participating artists will each donate 10% of their proceeds to ten participating charities meeting the needs of children around the world. The buyer may direct half of the donation for a given item to a charity of their choosing, while the remaining half will be split evenly between all ten charities.
