Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Michoacan, Protoclassic Period, ca. 500 to 100 BCE; Chupicuaro, ca. 500 BCE to 300 CE; Colima, 300 BCE to 300 CE. A terrific collection of pottery standing figures: 2 Chupicuaro females, a Michoacan male, and a Colima male. Mostly nude save for a headband, earspools, and neck or wrist ornaments, the Chupicuaro figures each display straight legs and huge heads with slanted eyes, triangular noses, and projecting lips surmounted by towering coiffures. Next, the Michoacan male holds his hands to his chest and wears a beaded belt with his delineated genitalia extending below. Last, the Colima male bends his tubular arms to grasp his neck while wearing a loincloth. Both Chupicuaro figures accompanied by custom stands. Size of largest (Colima): 2.1" W x 4.2" H (5.3 cm x 10.7 cm) Size (more petite Chupicuaro): 4.7" H (11.9 cm) on included custom stand.

Minor loss to toes of right foot on more petite Chupicuaro figure. All have light surface wear as shown. Otherwise, 3 are intact and all are excellent with nice remaining pigments and details.
