30 Rem. caliber, 22" barrel length, S/N 23713, top of barrel marked in 3 lines with Remington address and patent dates. Top of barrel also marked with caliber markings. Left side of the frame has gold medallion marked "REM UMC" next to "30 Rem". Lower tang marked in a circle "Remington" over "UMC". The right and left side of the frame is cut away to observe the internal functions. The magazine tube and right side of butt stock is cut away to observe internal function. Blue finish with walnut pistol grip butt stock and ribbed forearm. Remington UMC marked checkered butt plate.
According to staff at the Remington museum, this is one of two factory cutaways Model 14 rifles, used by sales reps for demonstartion purposes. The other cutaway model is in the museum collection.

Retains most of the finish throughout with wear to the edges and muzzle. Markings are sharp. The stock and forearm are good with minimal nicks and dings. There is a chip out of the bottom of the butt plate. A very good example of a Remington Model 14 cutaway.
