.45 Govt caliber, 30" round barrel, S/N 14337. With matching numbers throughout. The caliber is marked at on the barrel near the breech. The left of the casehardened frame is marked with the Marlin company name and address and Ballard's patent. With straight blade front sight and tang mounted Vernier peep sight. Walnut forearm with tapered forend, and butt with crescent buttplate.
The barrel is in excellent condition and retains nearly all of the original blue finish, with only one or two light scuffs near the muzzle of the left side. The frame, hammer, breechblock and buttplate retain excellent and bright original case colors. The wood has some light handling marks, but is in very good overall condition. The bore and the mechanics are excellent. A very rare No. 1 1/2 in this great condition.
