- Lot Description
Chinese carved white jade reticulated belt plaque, finely pierced with a sinuous dragon among scrolling clouds and openwork ground, mounted as a decorative panel in a hardwood table frame. The frame features a shaped crest, red velvet front matting, glazed viewing panel, and rear easel support, with the jade plaque visible from both sides. The jade displays a pale celadon-white tone with intricate hand-carved detailing, while the frame shows age-related wear, rubbing to the velvet, surface marks, and areas of staining to the reverse. An attractive decorative Chinese jade-mounted frame suitable for display. Approx. frame size (in): 19 x 14.25 x 0.75.
