1944 French liberation posters. La Haye-du-Puits: Plantegenest. Three posters from the winter of 1944 advertising events in the town of Haye-du-Puits, liberated from German occupation after D-Day. Two announce the anniversary event of the 1918 Armistice on November 11; the third advertises the inauguration of ceremonial plaques with "American authorities" on December 24.
Paper. 24 x 16 3/4".
Condition
Moderate soiling, rubbing. Bumped corners with chipping at extremities. Pinholes and tape. Folded. B.
