- Lot Description
[ENGLISH INDENTURE CONTRACT]. Manuscript Indenture Contract on Vellum. [England: February 2, 1799]. Vellum contract with scalloped upper margin and 7 wax seals with cross-hatching at the (folded) bottom margin, 4 paper tax stamps at left margin. Approximately 21 x 29?. 2 vertical and 2 horizontal creases, some internal creasing, rubbing, soiling. Very good. Drawn up during the ?sovereign lord George the Third by the grace of god of Great Britian?? Contract is between Richard Lamb, William Farley, Kezia Farley (William?s wife, who signs with an ?X?), Samuel Rumens and others, for the sale of some lands and buildings in Sussex.
