HERRMANN, Carl (1816-87). Autographed Compars Herrmann Calling Card. [Vienna, 1878.] Oversize card with Herrmann's name and title as ?Officier et chevalier" on the recto and a lengthy manuscript note in German/French penciled in his hand, in pencil, on the verso. In English it reads, ?To the editors of the Tagblatt, I kindly ask you to be so good as to publish a short notice ? announcing that y benefit performance will take place ? ?. SIGNED by Herrmann. RARE; the first Compars Herrmann autograph we have offered.
