MENCKEN, Henry Louis (1880?1956). Type letter signed (?H.L. Mencken?) to Mr. Andrea, 26 February 1929. One page, 8vo (214 x 133 mm), on The American Mercury letterhead, creased. Mencken, along with George Jean Nathan, founded The American Mercury in 1924, which ?fostered the most rebellious and lively in current literature and drama? (The New Columbia Encyclopedia). Framed and matted with mounted captions.
