[SCOTT, Walter, Sir (1771?1832)]. ?? LEWIS, Matthew Gregory (1775?1818). Tales of Wonder. London: by W. Bulmer for the author, 1801. 2 volumes, large 8vo (260 x 165 mm). Half morocco over marbled boards, raised bands, gilt titling in compartments, top edge gilt, others uncut (pale foxing to titles and flyleaves, wanting terminal ad leaf in Volume II). FIRST EDITION, LARGE PAPER COPY with original contributions by Scott and Southey. The work was mockingly nicknamed ?Tales of Plunder? due to its large paper size and the price of one guinea. Tinker 1496; Todd and Bowden 7Aa.
