Half?titles, 4pp. author?s advertisement in first volume, fly titles. Original publisher?s paper?backed blue-grey boards, spine titles and volume numbers in contemporary manuscript, uncut (joints starting with some separation or chipping along hinges, a little smudging to boards, contents generally clean); together housed in a custom clamshell box. FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE with signature H2 mis?signed 2H on p. 177 in first volume and complete with the scarce half?titles. Todd & Bowden 112Aa.
