- Lot Description
Vintage boxed set of six large TOMCO deep sea trolling lures, designed for saltwater sport fishing. The lures feature elongated tapered bodies with painted finishes and molded eye details, typical of mid-20th century offshore trolling lures used for species such as tuna, marlin, and other large game fish.
Several finishes are represented in the set, including silver with pink accent, pearl white with red cheek spot, metallic silver, green-tipped silver, scaled pattern finish, and copper-tone. The lures retain their original hooks and swivels and are housed in the original compartmented presentation box.
One lure in the set is stamped “TOMCO”, and another is marked “Made in Japan.” Vintage fishing tackle sets like this are sought after by collectors of saltwater sport fishing gear, mid-century tackle, and advertising memorabilia.
Set includes six lures in original fitted box.Condition
Light wear from handling and age. One lure shows moderate finish wear and surface oxidation to the hook. Paint and finish on the others remain in good overall condition. Box shows edge wear and minor storage wear. Please review photographs carefully for overall condition.
