- Lot Description
[MEDICAL EPHEMERA]. Group of 54 Color or Black and White Slides Related to the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln. [N.p., ca. 20th century]. 35 mm. slides of diagrams, later x-rays, several contemporary illustrated scenes of the assassination and the aftermath. A fine and unusual group. The previous owner, Dr. George D. Lacy, was a radiologist who had received permission to x-ray various remains of Lincoln and John Wilkes Booth. These came to him from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. In the original padded shipping envelope from the Department of the Army. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 2 x 2".
