Rafael Osona Holiday Auction Features Fine Art, Jewelry & Maritime Works

Nantucket, MA, November 14, 2025 — Rafael Osona Auctions announces its annual Holiday Auction, showcasing 750 exceptional lots of fine arts, décor, modern and antique furnishings, estate jewelry, maritime artifacts, and more. The sale begins Friday, December 6 at 9:30 AM EST, preceded by a two-day in-person preview on December 4 and 5.
Highlighting the auction is an impressive selection of Cartier,  Tiffany, Seaman Schepps, and Gucci jewelry from the Estate of Carole P. Webster, along with fine South Sea pearl necklaces.
The maritime category features 19th-century scrimshaw and artifacts, including a remarkable Wiscasset whale tooth attributed to Richard Macy Master, expected to sell for over $100,000. Additional notable items include a rare Nancy Chase whale species board, antique walking sticks, nautical boxes, half hulls, and a strong collection of marine art.
Collectors of Nantucket baskets will find a  distinguished group of 21 baskets, including six friendship purses by Jose Formoso Reyes and works by Paul Willer,  Sherwin Boyer, Nap Plank, Michael Kane, and others.
The auction also offers significant Nantucket and American fine art, with works by Robert Stark Jr., Benton Murdoch Spruance, Anthony Thieme, Jean Jacques Delanghe, Salvador Dalí, a dozen works by Doris and Richard Beer, Joan Albaugh, George Lear, Roy Bailey, Jan Pawlowski,  Stephen Elliott, James Francis Barker, Elle Foley,  Katie Trinkle Legge, Jan Munro, Lowell Herrero, William Ferdinand Macy, Mellie Cooper,  John Lochtefeld, and Paul Smith. 
For enthusiasts of Stephen Swift furniture, the sale includes a dozen handcrafted pieces—beds, three dining tables, two chair sets, the iconic rocker, a sideboard, and more.
Additional antique furnishings include brass-bound campaign chests, tiger maple tables and chairs, period chests, an Orkney chair, period mirrors, and multiple sets of dining chairs,  along with wine-tasting tables and other fine furniture.
Textile and decorative arts collectors will find over a dozen American folk-art quilts, Native American weavings and pottery, Oriental carpets, and a varied assortment of lighting and lamps. A standout offering is the 175-piece sterling silver flatware service in the Paul Revere pattern, weighing 191 troy ounces—perfect for holiday entertaining.
