Pook & Pook, Inc. is proud to present their Online Only Coins & Jewelry auction on Wednesday, November 7th. Beginning at 9 am, this sale will span over 500 lots and includes hundreds of collectible coins and numerous distinctive pieces of jewelry. The sale draws from various local estates and collections with scores of pieces hitting the market for the first time in decades.

Lot 1095, 1862 S Liberty twenty dollar gold coin; Estimate $1,000-$1,500

November’s auction will begin with collectible domestic currency, with a selection of items including coins and paper currency crossing the block, with many chances to grab that final coin to complete your set. Novice collectors may also see the sale as the opportunity to begin their own collection, with a number of mint sets and proof sets sparking that urge to collect. Gold coins in the sale are plentiful, with Liberty heads, Indian heads, and Liberty eagles. Silver coins are also represented with Morgan and Peace silver dollars, Kennedy half dollars, and various commemorative coins from numerous occasions and eras. South African fine gold Krugerrands are represented in abundance, as are gold and silver ingots. A 1924 St. Gaudens twenty dollar gold coin will no doubt draw the eye of keen collectors, carrying a $900-$1,000 estimate. Two American Arts gold medallions are also a unique addition to the sale, dated 1980 and depicting American Gothic painter Grant Wood ($1,800-$2,000). A special late addition to the sale includes a lot of Polish coins with a Sebastian Dadler silver medal dated 1635. Paper currency on offer will include US red and blue seal notes, two Philadelphia 1914 Federal Reserve notes and groups of foreign and domestic collectible currency.

Lot 1153, Twenty South Africa .25 ozt. gold Krugerrands; Estimate $4,000-$4,800

The latter half of Wednesday morning’s sale will feature over 300 lots of fine and costume jewelry. Items on offer range from dazzling jewels and gemstones to chic and attractive costume jewelry, with a range of price points. Stunning gold chains, dazzling pins and brooches, plus an assortment of solitaire diamond rings will all cross the block for Wednesday’s sale. Heirloom and estate jewelry are represented in abundance, and include cameo and intaglio rings, engagement rings with special engravings, and charm bracelets with stories to tell from far-flung travels. Timepieces in the sale include a Rolex oyster perpetual swim-proof men's wristwatch, with the original box, ($1,500-$2,500) and a Non Magnetic Watch Co. 18K gold pocket watch ($500-$1,000).
