.22 LR caliber, 6.75" barrel, S/N 70276. "Diamond" Ted Lewis's performance used Hi-Standard Model "E" pistol, with checkered walnut grips. The grips are adorned with silver embellishments, with a walnut insert on the underside of the butt, featuring relief carved TL within a diamond.
"Diamond" Ted Lewis was an early 20th century vaudeville performer, whose acts varied from tap dancing to trick shooting. He became known as the man with the ten thousand dollar smile, on account of the fact that he had diamonds implanted in each of his front teeth.
