The serial number is marked on the top of the barrel, top of the frame and on the left of the breechblock. With blade front sight and elevating tang peep sight. Walnut stock and forearm, with crescent buttplate. An early number Ball & Williams, rare in this condition.
With most of the original blue finish remaining on the barrel. The frame has a mostly flat gray patina, with small areas of original finish showing. The stock and forearm have some light handling marks, but are mostly in very good condition. The bore and mechanics are excellent.
