American (New England), 18th century. A Queen Anne side chair in walnut, of peg construction, having a scrolled crest, vasiform splat, and shaped leather slipper seat with conforming base, rising on cabriole legs with pad feet and block and turned stretchers; ht. 41, wd. 14.5, dp. 19 in.
