American, 1931-1987. During the furniture movement of the 20th century, Paul Evans was a name remembered by many for his design and high qualitative products. Paul Evan was an American furniture designer and sculptor born in 1931. Early in his career, Evans was more focused on metal work and creating sculptors. One of the major contributions of Evans is towards directional furniture. Evans eventually had to shut down his company because of a lack of interest amongst the people. He went to his vacation home and on the second day of his retirement passed away at the age of 56.
