Duane Merrill & Co. has been commissioned to sell a Northern Vermont three generation family collection of prehistoric artifacts including Paleo, Archaic, & Woodland lithic points, VT & NE potsherds, celts, plummets, & bannerstones; other highlights to include several stunning Carl Moon photographs, an outstanding Pacific Northwest Coast lodge model, Captain Dwight H. Kelton 1881 pattern US 10th Infantry dress uniform w/ coat, helmet, pants, sword & belt, gloves & box (b 1843 East Montpelier, Vermont Civil War veteran- d 1908); Plains Indian beadwork incl moccasins, Navajo rugs, Mohawk Wampum belt, Inuit soapstone & walrus ivory carvings, bone implements, effigy pipes, pipe tomahawks, Southwest silver, Southwest baskets, Hopi Kachinas, US 45 star flag, antique & modern firearms, & sporting accessories.
