Auction Description
Our Contemporary, Fine, Folk, and Outsider Art sale features works from all time periods and categories. The sale includes 22 lots by the well-known Outsider artist Purvis Young. Other Outsider works include major works by Lee Godie with attached elements including a photo sewn to canvas with the artist’s hair. The sale continues with lots associated with Charles and Ray Eames, and prints by Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg and Howard Hodgkin. In Fine Art we offer water themed works by Paul Lauritz, a schooner by Howard Sprague and The Rush Gatherer - Kutenai orotone by Edward Curtis. In Folk Art we have two exceptional 20th century examples of tattoo flash, an exceptional wood carved and painted ventriloquist dummy, and two intricate marquetry tables along with much more in all categories.
