Welcome to Rhoswens. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before participating in any auction. Bidding in a Rhoswens auction signifies your acceptance of the following conditions: 1. Agency: Rhoswens acts solely as an agent for the consignors. All property offered at auction is subject to a contract between the consignor and the purchaser (the "Buyer"). 2. Condition and Descriptions: All items are sold "as is." While we strive for accuracy in descriptions and condition reports, no guarantees are made. Bidders are responsible for reviewing photographs and descriptions and conducting due diligence prior to bidding. Absence of condition statements does not imply perfect condition. 3. Estimates: Estimates are provided as a guide and are not definitive valuations. They do not guarantee a selling price. 4. Bidding: All bids are binding. The highest bidder recognized by the auctioneer or platform at the close of the lot will be considered the Buyer. Rhoswens reserves the right to reject any bid or bidder. 5. Buyer’s Premium: A buyer’s premium, as stated on each auction platform, will be added to the hammer price of each lot. 6. Payment Terms: Payment is due within five (5) business days of the auction. Accepted methods include credit card, wire transfer, and PayPal (where applicable). Late or incomplete payment may result in cancellation and further action. 7. Sales Tax: Applicable sales tax will be charged unless a valid resale certificate is provided prior to invoicing. 8. Shipping and Pickup: Rhoswens does not offer in-house shipping unless otherwise stated. Third-party shipping arrangements are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Local pickup is available by appointment. 9. International Buyers: International bidders are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and import regulations in their respective countries. 10. Returns and Refunds: All sales are final. No returns or refunds will be accepted unless an item is significantly misrepresented. Claims must be submitted in writing within three (3) days of receipt. 11. Reserves: Lots may be subject to a confidential reserve price. Rhoswens or its agents may bid on behalf of the consignor up to the reserve. 12. Withdrawal: Rhoswens reserves the right to withdraw any property at any time before the sale. 13. Appraisals and Authenticity: All appraisals and authenticity claims are subject to Rhoswens' discretion and that of independent experts when necessary. 14. Disputes: In the event of any dispute, Rhoswens’ sale records shall be deemed final and conclusive. All disputes arising from or related to the auction shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. 15. Consignments: Rhoswens accepts consignments from individual sellers, collectors, estates, and institutions. Sellers are encouraged to submit descriptions, photographs, and asking prices for evaluation. No physical delivery is required until a sale is confirmed. 16.
