    Isa Genzken

    German, b. 1948. Contemporary German artist, Isa Genzken is a prominent figure in the Postmodernist sculpture. His Constructivism and Modernism inspired diverse work comprises of sculpture, photography, found-object installation, film, drawing, and painting. Best known for her sculptures, Genzken questions the uneasy social climate of capitalism and the human conditions in contemporary society. The socio-political context is the major and central oeuvre of this world-renowned artist. In 2017, Genzken was the recipient of the prestigious Goslarer Kaiserring (or Emperor’s Ring) by the city of Goslar, Germany.
