Swiss, 1833. With a history of 188 years behind it, Jaeger-Lecoultre isn’t just a company but a legacy. The luxury swiss watchmaking company was founded by Antoine LeCoultre, at the borders of Swiss Jura through a small workshop in 1833. Little did he know, the small workshop of brilliant watch-making would become of the giants of the world and the industry. The challenge of swiss watching was then taken by many generations in the family. In 1902,  Edmond Jaeger, a Paris watchmaker challenged the company to create ultra thing watches. Obliging to the challenge, the manufacturers created the thinnest watch in 1907.

The following 30 years of the company’s manufacture, created movements for Patek Phillipe. In 2002, the swiss giant was a fully owned subsidiary company of the world-renowned brand of Richemont, a Switzerland-based luxury goods holding company. Scattered through history, the Swiss watchmakers have created some of the most memorable watches. Amongst them are Geophysic chronometer, alarm diving watch, the Duomètre collection, Jaeger‑LeCoultre Polaris. Some of these movements were born out of challenge whereas some were a result of pure excellence and innovation.
