1914 -1992, Florence. Emilio Pucci, an Italian fashion designer was born to a noble family at the time. Pucci is also known as a brilliant politician. Before joining the air force, he received a Ph.D. degree in social science. A Harper's Bazaar photographer discovered Pucci's self-made ski outfit when he was on leave in 1947 and requested him to design ski clothes for women. It was only after he designed innovative, sleek ski wears for Harper's Bazaar that his career in fashion began. Emilio Pucci eventually rose to prominence in the 1950s. In 1950, he unveiled a full set of his brightly colored, free-moving sportswear, which was well received in the market.

He established his very first boutique shop in Capri, shortly after, offering simplistic but stylish resort clothing that reflected the island's free-spirited nature and vibrant summer tones. Later, his creations were coveted among world-famous celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Gloria Guinness, Jackie Kennedy, Madonna, Sophia Loren, and Nicole Kidman. Emilio Pucci, a Florentine aristocrat, epitomized postwar Italy's jet-set glamour and transformed fashion by creating stretchy fabrics. The brand is now a multinational force, celebrated for its classic Mediterranean color palette and abstract shapes.
